ATSG isn't the one who is sending the Amazon work to ATI. And it isn't going there because of the price. But if management is talking about the ABX pilot contract being too rich, particularly the basic, non-Junior-Manning, rates, they are smoking, or more-precisely soaping, something very bizarre. That's just stupid, and if it's part of some kind of tactical play, it just makes them look like Bumpkinville amateurs.

Ejected,

One thing you forgot on your list is that the senior pilots at ABX will sell out the junior guys and allow a furlough......They have a proven track record and don't give a F$$k about you, your career, or your family. I hope it doesn't happen to you, but I would start looking elsewhere! Good luck.

Yeah, see what I mean Ejected? Thanks for the excellent example of a senior ABX pilot attitude Bubba(MC). Best wishes to you also!

I'm just going to copy and paste from the sticky notes on the "2017 pilot contract" title on JH's office "to do" board:

Step 1: Tell your pilots ABX is not competitive because they're way too expensive. Note to myself: don't forget to tell them they stabbed the company in the back, make sure Amazon doesn't find out the strike was on me

Step 2: Demand a crappy contract.

Step 3: If pilots don't want to sign the new sh*tty a** contract, tell them all new flying is going to ATI.

Step 4: If they still don't want to sign the contract, send all new Amazon airplanes to ATI. Note: don't over do it, we don't want ATI to become a liability. We can take the airplanes away from them later on

Step 5: Offer senior pilots a crappy early out. Key words: overstaffed and F... yeahh F my favorite word. That'll teach them.

Step 6: When is ATI's turn to sign a new contract, repeat step 1 thru 5.

The only problem here is that ABX pilots won't cave. They can use the word F but beleive me, nobody is afraid on this side of the fence. The strike has brought the group closer, seems like we're all on the same page. Just like what everybody said when the strike happened. "Now or never!" And NO, we don't regret it.
There's two groups here. One group can retire tomorrow. The other can move on to a major or a LCC. The tide is rapidly rising everywhere. If they want to light the match.....go right ahead. Contract 2017 or let the house burn.

This is a F_ing lie. While there may have been a couple that continued to bid open flying, a_holes are everywhere, the overwhelming majority of us did not. We could have burned the place down and you still would cry and make up some other way that you were allegedly wronged.

0500 and the best way to start the day is a bagel, coffee and ATSG reading. Due to medical I've flown a dest for a while but rumors are hot and heavy something is about to happen over there.

I have little doubt you will win your single carrier filing. I'm sure Hete has been briefed on it as well. Regardless of what ATI pilots may say it all comes down to earnings. If given the vote post SC finding it would most likely swing Teamsters. Alternatively, what would keep Hete from merging everything under ATI. He has the power to do that. Even if you win single carrier, that can be done and it puts everyone under ALPA where it's pretty well known the union is on payroll. It also puts you into a JCBA that will be blended with an industry famous (infamous) low contract.

just a point to prove how sub standard the ATI contract is look at the post "ATI Hiring" and compare it to "ABX Hiring" 52K views to 206k views. No one in aviation history has done more to hurt the payscales than that airline.

I apologize to those that didn't bid open flying. Also, there were more than a few. The"brotherhood" could have stopped it but chose to look the other way. A recall wasn't a priority either. As far as crying, I hope you never experience what the ABX furloughed did. I wouldn't wish it upon anyone! Good luck with the new landscape.

Article 1 Section F of the CBA addresses the above pretty clearly. There wouldn't be some magic merger into ATI and all of a sudden ABX pilots are under ALPA and take a pay cut.

Doesn't work like that.
