Wow... that was a nasty final little jab from the Teamsters. It would have been nice if they just said "good luck" but instead they took the low road.

From the mouth of a FedEx Pilot

Some FedEx pilots are ****ed at ALPA for accepting Kalitta. Not ****ed at Kalitta pilots, they know you are just trying to do the best you can

They think your contract will be a drag on their next negotiations.

Really? They must have been really losing sleep the last few years over a few of the little Canadian freight haulers then.🙄

From the mouth (smartphone) of this FedEx pilot:

Welcome to ALPA! I just read the letter from the ALPA president he sent to all of us ALPA members welcoming you aboard. I only see strength in increasing the membership in order to have a louder voice and more influence with government entities that affect our collective QOL. I hope that this decision to join ALPA will help you since it does help us all. I believe that ALPA’s strength comes from its members (leaders) and pilots either getting involved or staying informed.

By the way, I don’t believe that your contract is a drag. Not because it’s I feel it’s a good (I don’t know anything about your contract), but because it’s a different business model. And even if it was, being a member of ALPA wouldn’t change that. Hopefully, companies, (FedEx included) will quickly realize the pilot pay shortage and start to improve contracts by necessity.
