Look at how senior the most junior DC-8 FO is. Those hired after Spring 05 will not be able to hold the right seat on the DC-8.

So, L'il J., your crystal ball is saying that most will be coming to the -8? I think there will be more of a dispersal among fleets. Many will come, but I think there will be a surprise of how many will go to other fleets. (At least that is my delusion, and let me wallow in it! )

I've personally changed my mind 5 times so far. I was surprised to see how senior the -8 is already.
Disregard. There are plenty of -8 FO slots available.

Between the A300 and DC-8 think that will take care of them? Maybe some will try something new, like SDFZ or the Maddog.

There are still around 40 727 Captains to be displaced. The trickle down effect will force the junior cpts back to F/O. It always looks like this after a realignment bid. So, knock the 40 most junior cpts off the list right now to get a look at who will remain the most junior cpt.

There are 27 unfilled spots on the 8, according to the realignment. You think they will all be filled with displacement pushing people out of the bottom? Also, I know of one fairly senior 727 FO going to the MD.

But do you really see 727 Capts going to ANC? They have created enough A300 Capt slots to absorb the 727 guys. I think 11/2000 DOH will be the junior capt systemwide.

A quick peruse of the Bid Summary page reveals.....

...that about half of the 727 folks haven't yet placed their bid, but those who have on the CAPT side it looks like the classics rule...DC-8 and 747 SDF, they've gotten spoiled with the F/E walkarounds! There are also several SDF 757s and A300s plus an occasional MD or even 757 MIA thrown in for fun as a first choice.

For the F/Os, looks like mostly A300 and 757 SDF and everything else but like the CAPTs, looks like no one put ANC as their first choice. This one's going to be interesting to see...it'll probably change several times within the next 2 weeks!
