Why are you even applying then? Are you senior at a regional? Just testing the waters?

Yes, at a regional, fairly senior FO. I’m marketable to low cost carriers and some of the less popular cargo outfits. I’m testing the waters for something better of course. I still haven’t heard from more than 1 or 2 pilots and they were new hires all smitten at the big shiny metal. $79/hr seemed appealing, but the low MMG and schedule is garbage unless I am missing something...I haven’t heard anything reasonable to have went to the interview for poor QOL and much lower pay compared to NOT jumping the gun and waiting for the big 3.

Problem with waiting on the big three is that it may never come. Have friends at Spirit that are very happy. For one, his first year he didn't want to do anything so he bid reserve and never left home accept to retain currency.

How often do they break MMG?

Hello Folks

Dallas area resident here. Is ATI going to be the "primary" company flying on behalf of Amazon Prime in to Alliance KAFW ? I live towards AFW, hence my question.

What are the Pilot schedules like ? I heard it is 12-16 days on the road at a time. Any truth to this ?

Thank you very much

There is no "primary company" for Amazon. They move aircraft and airlines around weekly. At the present time all the different carriers with a few exceptions fly to all the current destinations. All subject to change at any moment.

I do not know, but this year he is going for the money and apparently doing well

Quick diversion from the purpose of the thread:

The ATI page indicates that the company may require all 757/767 FOs to be IRO qualified.

1. What is involved in IRO qualification?
2. How does one log IRO time?
2. How does one determine IRO pay?

Thanx

It’s a 65 hour guarantee when divided into 12 months instead of 13 bid periods (MMG is 60 per bid period, not month). 5 hours isn’t much, but it is $400 of pay per month. Second year pay will be $123 an hour, then by year 3 you will be a wide body captain making $218 an hour. A regional simply doesn’t offer that.
16 days a month isn’t for everyone, however.

I had two buddies get called 2-3 weeks after filling out the app.

Thanks Triple. Waiting for the call. As least I didn't get the thanks but no thanks yet!
