UPS question!
Hi everyone. I have been reading the posts on APC for a long time now but have just officialy joined the forum. I filled out the new app. on 4/10/07. Status is "active". Haven't heard anything yet. I Meet or exceed all the requirements. Just wondering, again, if "active" is better or "on-file"? Also, i have disabled my Spam detector, but don't know what the e-mail address from UPS will be, so that i won't delet it by mistake! Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and good luck to all.

Thanks for the reply guys. I am still trying to find out, under what e-mail address, ie. "@ups.com" or what, will an e-mail be sent? I am getting all kinds of junk e-mail now that i have disabled my spam filter. Thanks.

I have the Norton AntiSpam, and it has a feature named the Allowed List.
In this Allowed List I added the domain @ups.com in the hopes that it will
allow anything through from UPS. If you have a similar function in your
software, perhaps that would help.
One caution; the Geek Squad isn't seeking my advice.

So if your app says "active" you can update regularly if you wish? Mine says on-file because I did not complete it with all my flight time but cannot get back in to correct. Trying to work with HR to correct but no real luck yet.

Here is what I ave been told 2nd hand from an HR rep. If your staus is "active" you have 7.5 points or better on the 8 point scale. If you are under that point amount for some reason you are "on file".
Now of course the million dollar question is does everyone that is active get an assesment? Also there is an implication that some "on file" will go to "active" as they move through the apps that are now active.
Like I said take this for what it is worth until confirmed.
Another question is anyone here recieved the email or assesment since putting in an ap on the 10th?

Thanks for all the replies. As i said before, i put my app. in on the 10th, within hours of the window's opening. Everything went through fine and without any problems. It then had me log out at the end of the app. I then logged back on into my job inquiries, and saw that my status was "active". So i selected my app. again and went to the bottom of the page and added my resume, since it first didn't give me an option to do so. Since then, my status still shows "active" and i have been testing it by logging into my app. and changing minor things. I wont be doing that anymore but i have been and still am able to do so at any time. Hope this info helps.
