The company will either provide a hotel room or $50/day per-diem while in training. Let them know when you get the “welcome aboard” letter and they will set you up with a hotel. This is a recent policy change that was not well communicated to the last class.

For the record, there are technical questions. I got SLOP, NAT Track lost comms, Transponder procedures, CA wants to fly go something busted hypothetical, bad WX prior to t/o hypothetical.....and my min fuel Calc for an airplane I flew 3 years ago (767) not my current bird. It’s not rocket science gents, but don’t blow it off.

Thanks for clarifying, things have changed since I was hired

So what does a new hire reserve schedule look like after IOE? I’m in smf. Can I do reserve from there or is it MIA?
Sounds like more planes coming? New pay at the end of the year or the start of negotiations? Thanks guys!

Unless you get smf as a base (and is very senior) you’ll be MIA based, we don’t have home basing so you’ll need to be in MIA
The good news is that you probably will have a mixed line from the beginning
New planes is the plan
The contract ends at the end of the year, negotiations were started early but were suspended due to coronavirus, so we don’t know were we stand with the new contract

This is great info - sounds like a pretty solid airline. I applied in the last window, but heard nothing. I assume that they are looking for pilots with NAT/PAC experience.

Does anyone know if Amerijet ever attends career fairs?

Unfortunately I don’t have that information
I understand there is a class starting Jun 29 and another one after that
As far as airplanes goes, 767 freighters are not easy to come by, all passenger airlines are getting rid of their 767’s but takes some time to convert them to freighters, and a lot of cargo airlines want more 767’s right now. Also a rumor that we might get some 767-200’s from DHL
The company wants to grow, that’s no secret, but how fast they are able to, we don’t know.

Has anyone heard back from last week’s round of interviews?

I reached out to HR to see when they might have decisions and they said they were working hard to release them today. I needed to know based on taking leave at my current outfit. She seemed confident she would reach out today with information.
