instead of saying “hey guys, this is what you should be looking for, this will help everyone”,

We tried that....ATI still signed the garbage contract.

Supposedly the app window had about 1300 applicants, and prior to the app window we already had people in the hiring pool that are still waiting on class dates. Unfortunately, I think it will be awhile before the window opens up again. I can’t imagine why they’d open it back up this year at all.

Always need a few good men, or Army men (it’s an assumption). Other ACMIs have their windows open I believe. Apply with others and eventually jump to your preferred ACMI or other of choice. Build even more experience, you already have accumulated a quite a bit to separate from the crowd. Gain even more and become an outlier. While in wait don’t hesitate.

I know that’s not the answer you’re looking for, but things change rapidly around here so check back to this forum regularly for updates.

I hope this helps,

For all, scroll down after clicking the link. It’s posted July 1.

Also, I had seen this video a while back on LinkedIn. Definitely a good resource for info as well.

A little disappointed I received a quick TBNT email. I understand the market is competitive but would have thought with my qualifications I would have received a closer look. I guess no internal rec is what hurt me.

Total time: 16300 hours
TPIC: 10200 hours
B767 Type: 5,000 hours and instructor on type
International and cargo experience on the 767

Over-qualified unfortunately. They're probably afraid you'll leave them shortly after hiring you. Hopefully FedEx or UPS will grab you, good luck!

Just an observer here but I believe the TBNTs are from computer based screens, not a human saying "this guy will jump to FedEx or UPS". especially if they came out quickly after application submission.

but who knows, maybe indeed that is what happened.

Do you have an internal recommendation? Just guessing, but I think that's what they are looking at as a cutoff.
