None of this is even pertinent for now. Often times things move slow, ABX isn't exactly ATSG's golden child (more like last on the list...), and like most airlines, are struggling just to handle what is on the plate already. I'm sure when the mothership decides who graces there palate to taste...they will announce their choice of the day for any expansion in flying of their customer base.

So on the question of new tails, I saw this in American Shipper today in an article discussing Maersk's deal with Amerijet to run some 763 factory-Fs that Maersk just bought from Boeing (that had been destined for a Chinese operator and not taken up).
"In November [Maersk] engaged Wilmington, Ohio-based Air Transport Services Group (NASDAQ: ATSG) to provide and operate three 767-300 freighters under a long-term lease. An ATSG subsidiary is expected to begin carrying out dedicated transport for Maersk on key U.S.-China routes in the second half of this year."
I haven't heard anything about which carrier will be operating these tails; sounds like some fun work if ABX can get them.

Maersk is leasing three others from CAM that will be operated by one of the ATSG airlines.

well I dont know much about what Maersk is going to do. I just know from their post release by them, and from what I see on ground, Amerijet is going to fly B767 for them to Asia. And amerijet is currently in works hiring crazy to increase their pilot group to 500 this year and more next year inother to get more flying from maersk. Plus a friend told me amerijet management is working on adding a new type (777) to their fleet.

Re-read the article, that's incorrect.
In fairness to you, they updated the article.
ATSG (CAM) will be leasing three freighters to Maersk. ATSG will not be operating them.
That's 3 from Boeing, and 3 from CAM.
Final score, Amerijet 6, ATSG airlines 0
Correction: An earlier version of this story said an ATSG subsidiary would provide pilots for aircraft leased to Maersk Air Cargo. ATSG is only leasing the aircraft. Maersk will operate the planes itself.

LOL...I luv that part. Amerijet 6 ATSG 0 - !! ATSG is the one who is making the $ off of leasing Amerijet (among many others...) airframes/engines. ATSG doesn't really care that much about being in the airline biz, it's a component of what they wish to do...not a sole function. Even still, while some may wish to work the 36th street shuffle (or it's all they can get to call..even in todays environment), I say better wishes to you and Maersk. Enjoy China and AJT, it's really no great loss to any of the ATSG airlines.
