One that I genuinely think is fair and will benefit this Pilot Group in the long term ... one more thing ... It will WORK ... For those that choose to Vote NO ... I highly encourage you to attend a LOA meeting.

No I did not attend last nights meeting or any other. I have not had the chance. Well I could have gone to one but I had a sim in the AM and opted for some sleep. I have talked with Union Reps via phone and E Mail and have been promised some answers, still waiting. I have used the company question web site, still waiting.
I have no doubt they have a plan. I have no doubt the company has a plan. I sure hope our plan is better. Because of their plans I will not bid on ACFT that are covered by this LOA. Unfortunately, on Aug 11 the company plan could change to cover every acft in our system by announcing new FDAs in HKG and CDG.
We had a plan in the last contract to improve trip rigs. The company had a plan make improved trip rigs worthless by optimizing it or just dumping it (STVs).
Man up and say it. Hosing the junior pilots in each seat with invol STV is the price we have to pay to get a chance to implement our new and improved plan.

It is not for three years. They are stuck in paris until there is a vacancy in memphis. Which might be awhile with all the growth in the INTL area and the loss of a three crew airplane in the memphis domicile.

With SIBA you lose alot of potential days of work because your never off the clock in domicile. With STV they can get you back to HKG and give you a 24 hour layover that doesnt count as a day of work. STV allows the company to get alot more work out of you than SIBA (trip rig and min days off come in to play with SIBA) Both of those are negated with STV. The company is not worried about dead head tickets, they are worried about those 70 and 50 hour layovers during a SIBA line where your getting paid trip rig and losing a day of work.

To do a one month HK STV you would lose at least 36 hours due to DH time (assuming we get paid). Don't we want to know how they will use the remaining hours over the next 23 days?

FDX ALPA is not the enemy--it's the company.
Look at the FCIF that just came out:
"During the normal course of diligence that the SIG and PSIT process
provides, an opportunity presented itself to significantly enhance the A300
bid packet. This required a major change to pairing design for September an
rebuilding the bidpacks in a near around-the-clock effort.
Both the Company and ALPA SIG commmitted to the change knowing that even
with extraordinary effort by both parties, a one day delay in the
publication of all the bid packs would occur. We expect the bid packs to be
available online Friday NLT 1700 CST."
I think the company may be starting to get it (that they have really pi$$ed everyone off, especially those of us on the Airbus, and can't be trusted to do anything but make our lives miserable)...read, they really want this LOA to pass. And may start doing something about it...

I am thinking very clearly, my criticism was not a criticism of the PSIT or the SIG. My criticism is of my reps who want me to work 28 days for BLG plus per diem. And they can't answer the question what do the lines look like.
And after the LOA passes what happens to the Nov bid pack?

I am not a yes voter, but you are definitely clouding the issue with some way off base assertions.

No leverage? Why did they switch from one month to three?
Sit in HKG or Paris for per diem only?
With you or with out you is a phrase that was used before I got here ssems the same is being said now.
I thought the current CBA was a stepping stone. Stop using this phrase and show me an improvement to the CBA not a concession.
Vote NO. Vote early and vote often to coin a Chicago phrase.
