No Oceanic Crossing Experience required, but you still have to spell "MD-11" correctly. Gemini guys... come on down!

You can't update. If the system let's you in, you are qualified and you just sit here and try to be patient.

Nacho,
This ridiculous system is apparently imposed on HR by Atlanta. It is not designed with pilots in mind. Then, they try to do system updates and send out screwy emails to everyone and scares them. Brilliant I talked to some of the HR folks about the "what if" an applicant wanted to update important facts relative to their application. They seemed to think it was a good idea, but I take it, way out of their ability to make happen. For those that get through this screwball process to get in the door, you will be well prepared for the rest of your Brown career. I like working here, but they sure have a goofy way of "moving at the speed of business"

  • Hold an FCC restricted radiotelephone operator permit
  • Minimum of 1500 hours of total fixed-wing pilot time. (UPS will allow military candidates to add a plus (.3) per sortie factor to flight times)
  • Minimum of 1000 hours pilot in command (PIC) hours in fixed--wing multi-engine turboprop per FAR 1.1. (UPS will allow military candidates to add a plus (.3) per sortie factor to flight times)
I imagine that last bullet point about turbo-PROP is a typo hopefully since above it says jet or turboprop

Looks like the crossings language is gone, or is that someplace beyond the basic qualifications?

They seem to like it, and the cool thing is you get your old employee number.

Hang in there, there will be another one. With 55 widebodies coming over the next couple of years and @60 retirements a year there WILL be another window.

The application system did not ask for any flight times. Is this normal?

It did ask me to attach my resume.
