Default 1 year wait to reapply??

I've been looking around forums and the UPS website for my answer but can't find anything. I've read on many posts that UPS makes you wait a year before reapplying. Is that only if you've been turned down for a job, or is that if you're not picked up during the current hiring window. I put an application in with an availability date of May 2008. If that is too far out to even be considered right now and I don't hear anything, must I wait a year before reapplying or does my application roll to the next application window? Or, does the one year wait only apply if you bust an interview or something?

Default fe written

It used to say if you have a FE written and you worked for a 121 carrier it was current for as long as you worked there. Question? Does UPS require it to be within 24 months or will the FAA requirements work? If not, I will spend the $300 this weekend and retake it. Ready to apply. This is the only job I will leave my current job for. So what ever it takes.
Thanks,
BD

I had several in my class several years ago who had "121 current" FE written. It was just a pain for them to get to the local FSDO and show past paycheck stubs letters of employment etc to ensure currency and get the FAA to sign off on it. But the answer is it worked fine, for me it was just easier to retake it. All that being said we are currently NOT hiring into the FE positions, so I probably would not worry about it.

Default Thanks

Thanks, I'll probably just retake it this weekend. It'll be easier. Wish me luck!! Not with the test. The interview.
Thanks,
BD

I think that's a good idea.

As I understand it, it is not that you must wait a year but until the next calender year when the application bank is purged. If you already have an application for the 2007 year then you will not be able to do another one until 2008.

Never too early to apply but in all reality you will probably never know the answer to your question. You won't know the answer if you don't apply.

Best wishes and blue skies.

I called HR in January with the same question. They told me that they would accept it as long as you were at the same carrier you were at when you took the test.

FYI

I completed the app today. I was pleasantly surprised that most of the info was there from when I had submitted the app in Dec 06 and all I had to do was update my flight time and medical date. Anyway, when I finished the app, all the boxes were checked and it showed my resume as having been uploaded. I logged out and logged back in and it showed my app as incomplete. The last few categories was unchecked (mostly the categories in which you had to check an acknowledgment box) and it showed the app as incomplete. It also indicated that my resume had not been uploaded. So, I redid everything and have logged out and back in and it now shows as complete.

Default Did I do something wrong?

I applied to the Flight Officer position at UPS yesterday. However, during the application process, no where did it ask me flying times. The system says that my application is complete and that I may update if I choose.

Is this normal that flight times were not asked? I see other people responding say that they were asked their flight time.

Attached is a picture of what the final completed application process looked like.

Confused...
