Predictions for the Purple Poolies
#432
EMB,
Not sure when they will open the site. I've been in the pool since Feb 07. I, along with many other's, are just hoping to get a call soon.
I am sure when they start calling, it won't be long after that.....
Question is.... When will the begin to look at the pool. I've heard that if there are instructors in the school house that have an opportunity to go to the line, they will go first, then the pool. There was a recent ad for instructors but that window has closed. I believe it takes about six months to train an instructor.
I would also expect that 4a2b will end before there is any hiring; schoolhouse transisitions or otherwise....

My son has been treading water ever since you guys interviewed together and got lost on the drive to the interview...lol !
Even considering 4a2b, it will have been worth the wait and frustration .
Best of luck,
BG

I wonder what it was like at Thanksgiving dinner at the home of the #1 senior guy on the list (he can't be far from going back to the panel again
)! He's been at FedEx 35ish yrs and I've been told his son is in the hiring pool! Do you think he's told his son we're overmanned yet? I wonder what his son was thankful for, or if he just thinks its worth it for dad to keep his seat warm for him!

Study hard for the test, but not too hard. You don't want a perfect score.
Best of luck to you and your career.

the #1 senior guy was on a draft trip that laid over Thanksgiving Day in ELP
he went across the border to Juarez and had a couple of tamales from the street vendor guy ('cause they were too expensive on the US side of the border) - charged the max allowable amount to the company for being on the road during Thanksgiving dinner!
