Yeah...the 757 program behind and under scrutiny from the FAA, the FDAs 35% unfilled...the stock price approaching 85 bucks....the continued losing battles in court over drivers being independent contractors... They rock.
FedEx managers are not idiots. But they aren't bulletproof either. There are some very good examples of some pretty serious SNAFUs lately.
We can move all of this to the ALPA boards if we'll all go over there. However, I've seen those boards scrubbed clean after the LOA vote. I don't know if managment is going to use this info or not. However, I know the info on the ALPA boards is now "poof" gone. Vic has proposed a BLOG or perhaps a discrete website--so maybe there is a way to vent and share ideas without compromising our unity. However, right now--we don't have a lot of alternatives.

I hope we do not hear from DW and the union. Lately everytime we do hear from them the junior members get bent over and take it from behind w/ out the courtesy of a reach around. Would not surprise me if they (MEC and Co.) agree to only lower the BLG for the F/O's and S/O's. My union does not speak for me, but they do know how to speak for their seniority group, that's for sure. DW great job leading and representing, NOT.

The only way to have a discreet website is to have the members post pictures of themselves when they 1st apply. Including some back ground info. Then there would have to be a super secret way password exercise to get on. Sounds interesting however, but like most things its hard to keep a secret.

There will be moles, no matter how you do it. For all we know...FH could be one.
Anything posted, of any value to management, will find its way there. Just because you know who the guy is..Doesn't mean you know who the guy is. You know?

That being said, I don't envy our MEC for having to deal with the pressure of trying to satisfy the membership while responding to the demands of ALPA national. A rock and a hard place, that is...I know I couldn't do the job any better, so I'm not throwing stones here. I just want a little more transparency and honesty...just spit the truth out and let the membership deal with it...

last post from foxhunter was when someone asked him if he was a Capt like his profile said.. since he was on the list to retire in Oct... said there was a "mistake in vips" were he was still listed as Capt. Someone asked if he was being paid as a capt... no answer since.... bet ya we're in for a miricale of modern medicine, a miraculous healing that hasn't been seen since Jim Baker was on the pulpit!
