But. . .

NEVER
1. Trust a Captain that wears a hat when he doesn't have to. And. . .NEVER
2. Trust a guy that blocks his calendar.

sounds like it would be prudent to have a chat with this guy. Kind of be there when he get's off the bus. How about an ALPA DP welcoming debriefing team?

No day's off in a 144 hour month... doesn't sound all that safe to me... how does he beat the monthly hour max?

Thanks Tony and now I see Fr8Dog. You're right, I may not have wanted to know! :-) I'll attempt to use a previous post like you mentioned. There are numerous pilots that have been notified by the union that they are on a disputed pairing and continue to keep the trip. Some of the good guys/gals have dropped the trips (good on them). Hopefully I can figure out how to post the hyperlinks to these 727 trips and get it on this forum so we can remind them of the damage they are doing to everyone with their greed.

This thread is not very joyful(rightfully so). So, I just thought I'd post this for everyone's enjoyment...

Posted shortly after the senate had passed the legislation.

In my case I hurt my shoulder the day after I turned 60, had surgery and will have to wait the OK from the FedEx Docs to return to work. I'll require the short requal and hope to be back mid Feb/early March. All depends on my recovery. ...

Well, almost everyone's.

The contract may state that; however, it's is my understanding the FAA ruled otherwise ---- they said 'active' flightdeck crew member did indeed mean 'active'. --- thus, those awarded a window seat still have to complete SO training first before they attend requal in their previous seat.

I know him, he's not, and the trip is dropped - appears to be the same type of thing Albie went through - inadvertant pickup followed by a quick drop. There's also vacation thrown in there, so the 144 hour block month is not exactly what it seems. Either way, problem solved. Now, how about we turn our attention to the Captains....

It seems BB is a ROTC (I think) classmate of MD11fr8dog. MD11fr8dog says he contacted him. BB says he didn't understand the DP significance and promises NEVER to do it again. Md11fr8dog says he believes him.

Personally, I'm not inclined to trust him ...
