Eatmenout-
Over time, you've obviously become "institutionalized" by the heavy-handed and antagonistic "management style" encouraged at Big Brown. Your lack of "leadership" and manner is pathetic....I just gotta laugh.

....they oughta "study" you.

what a piece of work.

Have you guys (IPA members) thought of reporting this manager's behavior to your professional standards group? I can't believe you have so-called professional management pilots posting on a forum like this. JMO.

You UPS guy's should count yourselves lucky to have a dumb a** like 8men to help unify you. At Fedex, we get sweet talk from our managers. It suppose to help divide the weak dic*s from the rest and keep the union off guard. If our management would allow some idiot like 8men to rant, we'd be further along in our negotiations then we are.

Of course then there is the long standing premise of Captain's Authority which allows the Capt. to DICTATE who rides in the cockpit. TSA involvement? yeah right. Impeding Air Commerce, in your wildest dreams, it's the Capt's jet, moron.

During contentious labor negotiations with a overtly hostile management, the mere presence of representative of that management group would be a huge distraction in my cockpit. A distraction that could very well erode the highest level of safety that professional pilots are expected to bring. My answer would be "If there are seats aft of the cockpit, you may sit there otherwise the distraction presented by your presence erodes safety to an unacceptable level."

Don't expect the feds to come to the rescue of an internal food fight. The FAA administrative judge will side with Capt's authority.

It's a shame to see how dysfunctional UPS management is [in public].

HA HA, the first "violation" occured on the first day the bulletin came out! MD-11 captain CS bumped all P-3s on his flight from PHL-CGN. He was NOT removed from operating the flight even though there was an MD-11 qualified manager on duty at PHL that morning.

I am new to UPS but not new to the industry. The Captain has the final authority to the jump seat and can bump anyone he or she wants. The problem here is that UPS has dragged out these negotiations for over 3 years and has shown nothing but contempt towards the pilot group. When is enough........enough. How much money will they have to make or loose to show the pilot group that they mean something. And trust me the pilots are the ones on the front line making this plan a reality. Along with all the other groups like the dispatchers and the teamsters.

I am really glad that I have this job and I will stand on my head and spit wooden nickles if I have to. But enough is enough! Please show some respect!
My motivation is not to upset anyone. I just don't get it!
