The 12rd mags are readily available from a couple different sources if your state allows them. I bought a couple online for 35 bucks a piece. The gun ships with 10rd magazines.

sorry for the stupid question, but for those in the know, the form states: Copy of a Federal Firearms License (FFL), signed in ink by license
holder, where you wish to have your HK USP40 Compact shipped (usually a local gun shop or sporting goods store). If you are not a FFDO and don't have a carrying permit, how does one have a FFL? and can the weapon not be shipped to your home? thanks in advance for the help |
You do not need to have a Federal Firearms License to own or carry a weapon, but you do have to have one to ship or receive modern firearms.
If you're looking to have a gun shipped to you, most local guns shops will accept shipments for a marginal ($20-30) fee. |

Here's another tidbit I'm not sure has been mentioned in this thread: you can buy any Glock at the LEO price from any gun shop that does law enforcement sales...and all you have to do is show your Commercial or ATP certificate!

In their defense, the transfer of a firearm by an FFL holder requires some paperwork. Since gun shops are a business, I don't see anything wrong with charging a nominal fee for this service. You may be able to find an FFL holder that is willing to do it for free. Personally I like the Glocks better, and they offer great deals to pilots. |
