Here's another tidbit I'm not sure has been mentioned in this thread: you can buy any Glock at the LEO price from any gun shop that does law enforcement sales...and all you have to do is show your Commercial or ATP certificate!

Here's a link to the form...

Thanks for the form. I couldn't find it in the form where pilots would qualify?

thanks for the response. glad to see the gun shops and sporting good stores have their hand in the cookie jar for simply accepting the weapon on your behalf. still, a good deal with the discount HK is offering.

Look into what it takes to get a FFL. It's not that simple and the record keeping is fairly strict. They also have to run the background check before they transfer the gun. I thought about getting mine, but in the long run, it is not worth it. Much cheaper to pay the occasional $20-25 for the transfer.

It doesn't actually say that on the form, but if you call Glock's service department they'll confirm it.

I know a few folks who have ordered theirs via this form and a copy of their pilot certificate, and others who made the purchase at a Glock LEO dealer in person.

If I didn't already have a P229 and a G19, I'd be all over this...:D

Or you can try here: OfficerStore.com: Yates: Last Chance Belt This looks to be the kind that the FAMS instructors wear.

The tighter and wider your belt-the better while you're at the range.Good luck.

Riggers belt is great for training, but not very good for uniform wear. If you only plan to buy one gun belt, I would suggest putting the money for a riggers belt towards something along the lines of Galco Dress Gun Belt... It's just a super reinforced belt designed to handle the extra weight of a firearm, but otherwise just a normal looking belt that doesn't scream shoot me first. Here is a linky to a my favorite belt on Galco's website, but I ordered mine from MidwayUSA for about $60. It's well worth the money either way and you probably need a new dress belt anyway.

Galco holsters; Holsters; Gun holster, pistol holsters, western holsters, shoulder holsters, leather holster and Glock holsters

If you are a military reservist check these guys out, best prices I have seen. Easy paperwork drill. They sent it UPS to my house, they have the FFL.

Cabelas near AFW received my HK for me for free.

I went to the store, Cabelas faxed a copy of their FFL (license) directly to HK referencing my name and order info.

HK shipped the gun directly to the Cabelas store, charged my credit card, notified me that it was shipped to Cabelas.

I went to the store and picked it up - no extra charge from Cabelas.

Sweet deal - almost a $400 discount off Cabelas price! :)

I like the HK better. Machining is better and no stamped parts never had a feed problem. Easy to break down and clean. Trigger design is the same just better executed on the HK. Magazine has a floor plate design problem which can show up if your not carefull, base displaces and doesn't allow the magazine to lock in place.

I recall seeing somewhere that there was a 357 S+G barrel swap for the USP40 comp.
Wasn't sure of it was for law enforcement only though.
