Default FDX - Retirement Chart Updated

Newly updated as of the 23rd of October reflecting those reaching age 65 each year. I know that this is the best information that they can put forth regarding retirements, especially in today's economic environment, but the numbers are just depressing!

Uhhhh...Somebody needs to explain this to me.

Shouldn't those charts look exactly the same? But, just be shifted over 5 years.

Or, did I miss that day in science, when they talked about how some "over 60" pilots will age in mule years?

The addition of the 60-65 guys that came from the backseat are the guys in the first 5 years of the AFTER chart, everything else is just a 5 yr shift!

This is just a guess, but maybe the retirement of the DC-10/727 fleets will take a few ND's that are a lot closer to death than a 65 year old. Where they use to be able to work forever, they will no longer have a plane to work in.

I think there is more to it. I was hoping to retire in 2022 @age 60 along with another 180ish pilots. Push that 5 years later to 2027 and the chart shows over 200 pilots hitting 65. Maybe they have plans on hiring only old pilots for the foreseeable future.

Never mind. That doesn't make sense either.

I've just edited the first image and cut out the years 2005-2007. Easier to see the shift since the first year is now 2008 in each chart.

The guys now listed inside the first 4-5 yrs of the second chart (the shift) are guys that are gonna turn 60 during those years, and were accounted for already in the older charts and are now being counted again - these are the guys that came back from the panel! Any other differences are pilots hired since the 2005 chart and/or left early (retired, fired, died, quit, etc) - mostly additions due to hiring.
