Yes, I am talking about bidding VTO while in a pay only status. My thinking would have been for December to have bid VTO and I would have been paid a higher BLG than had I did what I did, bid Max BLG (having been awarded something less than the VTOs turned out to be).
I guess I was a little taken aback by this and think I think I should bid VTO for Jan and hope for a better deal. No good thinking on my part?

VTO in pay only, the line will pay avg BLG for the month.
25.C.7. A pilot in active pay status who is projected to be unavailable for line flying in his current crew position for an entire bid period (e.g., due to training, Association business status or sick leave) shall bid a line for pay only.
a. A pilot awarded a secondary line in pay only status shall not be eligible for secondary line construction and shall be compensated the average bid period BLG for regular lines for his crew position.
