Default (FDX) Min BLG question

I know that under normal circumstances, the contract would address this, but since we're under 4.A.2.B, I'm wondering what others have experienced.

I have a VTO line for Jan, and vacation. But my vacation plus the trip awarded does equals less than min BLG. So does the company 'buy up' the difference between my awarded line and min BLG?

If your line plus vacation is less than 13hrs less than the highest line in your seat, they will buy up to that.

You might get a more accurate answer to your question if you provide a few more details....such as what was the highest paying line in your seat? How many days of vacation do you have? How many hours of trips were you assigned?

Sounds like if you can not hold a line and have vacation it is better to bid a reserve line than a secondary.

High line credit for my seat is 72:30. I have 8 days of vacation (48 hrs) and my awarded trip is 13:29. So that brings me up to 61:29. Low line credit is 63:00. So, it looks like I'm stuck with 61:29 since that is greater than (72:30-13:00) 59:30?

Who bids VTO and vacation? That's usually the worst choice available.

I do, and always works for me! Jan I had a 7 day vacation and they gave me 5 R-24 days of reserve. Can't hold R-24. Also my BLG is 62.5 and RLG is I think 61.5. So it worked out better for me then bidding a reserve line. To each his own.
