Everts Air Cargo

So this is interesting: Incident: Everts MD82 at San Luis Potosi on Nov 2nd 2015, runway excursion on landing
Not sure I'd want to be working for this company. Who cares about paychecks showing up on time when stuff like this is taking place. I wonder what's going to happen to the crew?

The DC-9 is fairly stable on the captain side of things. Atlas could always change that again.
The MD-80 fleet is expanding. Both captains and first officers are needed. As Packrat said, you could go DEC if you have time in a turbojet in the 100k plus range. That assumes you meet the faa's PIC requirements.
We are working toward cargo personnel on all lower 48 flights to remove that burden from the flight crews. Stay tuned for that one. Home based, 18/12 schedule. Details are on APC's website.

The good news is that when the cargo is unusually large or unwieldy, the customers often provide labor to help. In Laredo, loading isn't an issue. Of all the carriers in the "Ypsilanti vortex," Everts managment is working hard to make the job more palatable for the pilot group.

As I said in an earlier post we are planning on adding a loadmaster to all turbojet flights to free up the flightcrews time.
