FDX Pairing change
I started a trip yesterday that had a DH MEM-ATL-CDG then operates CDG-EWR. I deviated and made it here without a problem. The scheduled was revised numerous times for the non deviators which included extra CH. My schedule remained the same. The scheduled never made it to CDG so they revised someone that was in CDG to operate.
I cannot find it in the contract but can I put in for any extra pay that was once shown on the original pairing?
Thanks

You should certainly get the trip guarantee you were originally awarded. In addition, if the schedule DH was cancelled or changed, you should get your pairing revised to reflect a legal dead head sequence. They may build you a pairing that might indicate an earlier show time, but the good news is that your dead head bank will not be any smaller and your CH should be more. I have not had the opportunity to try this myself, but I have read on more than one ALPA email, that you should keep track of the scheduled deadhead actual block times. If those flights are canceled or delayed, you are entitled to any additional CH that would have been paid had you not deviated. But you have to contact Crew Scheduling and have them verify your data and fix your pay.
Don't throw in the towel just yet. You could be entitled to more money.

I'm not sure this is accurate. I am sure someone will fill in the many gaps I will leave.

If skeds had rewritten the pairing for all crewmembers then you could get extra for the changes.

You will get nothing
This was "settled" in a grievance a few years back. The company will not be required to retro-actively build your pairing to reflect changes you did not actually encounter when you deviate.
The captain in the grievance deviated on the back end of a trip and made it home (early) but the f/o did not. Scheduled DH was cancelled and an additional day was added to the original pairing. Captain wanted the additional day's pay. Captain didn't get it.
Yet another sharp edge to the double-edged sword that is deviating...

I would consider yourself lucky. The company only has to pay you for what you operated, ie. extra landing, extra duty period, extensions ect... or what the original pairing showed, whichever is greater. Since he deviated and did not operate/ride on the scheduled DH, his chances of getting paid for it are slim. That is why the grievance was denied by the arbitrator. He can always ask though, the worst that can happen is they say no.

CRS usually splits the pairing in cases like this. I did a back end deadhead with deviation a couple years back. The FO did not deviate. I saw him a few days later. Turns out the scheduled deadhead didn't exist. He showed at the airport and the airline said there wasn't a flight on Saturdays at that time. He called CRS and they rebooked him on Sunday morning. They then revised his pairing to another number and kept me on the original pairing. I made sure that the FO submitted for extra duty period pay.

Agree 100%. I deviated on the back end of a trip that finished in ERW and DH'd home without taking the hotel rest period. The next day nothing was going to ANC because of the volcano. Guys were getting multiple days of draft because the company couldn't get them back to base. I got nothing extra and have no problem with it.
