Default FDX-How many internal referrals?

Like the title says, how many is too many? Through no fault of my own, I know a handful of people flying for FedEx (I live/fly in the MEM area, and we all know how small the aviation community is). I already have my mentor/sponsor squared away, but would like to let some of the other people that I know know that I have my stuff in there as well. At what point will management get tired of it. I am sure that I could have several different folks dropping my name by their ACPs office, but don't want to go overkill with it, and possibly hurt my chances of getting called. I have read through the FCIF, and cant really find an answer there. Just looking for opinions.

It may come across as such, but I am not trying to brag at all, I just want to give myself every advantage possible in this as I am sure that I wll be one in thousands of profiles sent in.

What says the hive???

Thanks in advance

Three total is plenty, there will be some guys with none that get interviews. Guys are going to be very selective on who they write for. We've been told the more letters we write, the less they mean. As far as multiple dudes making calls to the ACPs office, that's not going to happen. We are only allowed to sponsor one pilot at a time, and then have his hand recpt until he/she is done with the probation year.

Three is what I was thinking as well. Just wanted to see if anyone else had any other insight. I just don't want to leave any potential resource untapped.

It's 3 plus a hand receipt for a year for the basic ROE (to ditto Jolly) so your sponsors should know that. You might want to talk to your sponsors and make sure they're all on board and they're cool with having your hand receipt in their back pocket for a year and not being able to sponsor someone else until you're off probation.

My buddy only has me gunnin' for him but he formerly flew loops to music so he's got a little more in the tank than your standard one each RJ guy who has been schlepping it out for the last 5 yrs at a commuter.

I don't know if one internal rec is going to be enough with my buddy (even with his particular stink) but I do plan on going to the mat for him and walking by my ACP's office ONLY because I'm his only internal reference at Purple.

So, lemme get this straight....The one sponsor plus three internal LORs and I should be good, right? I know my sponsor told me that I am the only person that has asked him, so we should be set there. I just know a few others that would be willing to do a recommendation. Like I said though, I just didn't want to go overboard with it and step on a nerve somewhere.

Actually it's your primary + 2 for a total of 3. That should be plenty. Make sure your primary guy checks the "Primary" container on the rec form.
