You whiny bastards haven't even seen the damn thing yet. It's a bit insulting to the negotiating committee to start ****ing and moaning about it before it's even out. At least wait until there is more than leaks and rumors to complain. "My union speaks for me" shouldn't stop because we have a TA. Let them get it out and 'splain it a bit first, eh?

Do some of you guys even know how changing the trip rig over night affects manning levels? The company can not do it over night. They will need time to hire more guys. So the phased in part of the contract. Use your head before you spout stuff....

Its been 5 or 6 days since ALPA's nego committee and FDX mgt agreed to the TA. Many details have been "leaked" but many more to be seen. I'm guessing the MEC has "bought off" on the TA or the details of that would have been "leaked" by now. Given that its got to be printed and mailed, I figure some time early next week when we get our copy of this agreement.
It could be available earlier via the web, possibly in pdf format. Question: Anyone know when we will see these documents??
Also, for the UPS lurkers, is your "contract" available to be seen via Internet and if so, where??

Assuming there is a change to trip rig, tell us that do not understand, how an improved rig requires an increase in manning ? Lets use 3.75/1 for arguments sake. Thanks

Hmm, I don't recall us being OVERmanned when the last contract came in to effect and the trip rig changed on that one, and that was a 17% change the other way!

Don't get me wrong, I say implement now, but realistically it may be a stretch.

Some insight into what it might be from the ALPA position back in Oct 05:
Trip Rig:
- DOS: 1:4 with block over 6:00
- DOS+1: 1:3.90 with block over 6:09
- DOS+2: 1:3.75 with block over 6:24
MPPDP:
adjusted to reflect the new value of a day corresp. to each trip rig value.
Duty Rig:
- Domestic day 1:2.0
- Domestic night 1:1.92 to 1:1.58
- Domestic critical 1:1.5 to 1:1.25
- INternational 1:1.92 to 1:1.58
The T/A is probably something between this and what we have now. If the numbers improve, it's all good.

Dump any amount you want into open time and we will suck it up at staight time. This solves any manning issues. Oh yea we'll sell back our vacation for a little extra and trample each other for time and half after we finish our carryover trip.
