Pay
#1
Hey Guys,
DAL, AMR, UCAL/CAL are nearing contract negotiations for MAJOR restoration of pay, workrules etc. Take some time to look at the major's threads with some pay comparisons in the past, and future restoration goals.
I hope your NC is taking a look at the data, and talking with their peers. FDX aviators deserve to continue to be industry leaders in pay, workrules, etc. Retirments will kick in soon, in large numbers, and you need to be able to continue to attract top-tier candidates for replacement.......
Always lead from the front....rant over.
Regards,
BG

Setting goals and objectives sounds like a really good idea. We at FDX dont cotton to that new fangled thinking though. Our negotiating strategy is simple; tread water untill the IPA gets all they can get then match them.

The only reason any airline, FedEx and UPS included, requires a college degree is because there's a plethora (that means an overabundance) of pilot candidates. If there weren't, then you could assume that their standards would be lowered, and then even someone like you might get in. On second thought, even then I doubt it.
