FedEx TA Voting Poll

Second, have YOU made the effort to educate yourself by thoroughly reading the TA and making the effort to go to a Roadshow or hub turn meeting - where you can go straight to the horses mouth (the NC) and you will get those quantifiable answers you desire? Have you called you block rep with your questions, or called the ALPA offices? Or is the extent of your educating yourself an anonymous (almost ) msg board on the internet?
BTW - I make and pour my own coffee.

Jugs
First of all, thanks to the MEC and NC. Second, I said "jugs", heh heh.
I was sold on it when I saw I didn't have to carry the coffee anymore. I pulled a hammy trying to get to the phone to vote. Alas, I did not make the cut on the roster and cannot vote.

CB,
I could argue with you but you said you've gone to a road show and still aren't satisfied. One question, if you are junior and in the back of the 72, how did you vote? Guys I fly with that have been here over a year are pretty senior in the back. Sorry you are so unhappy with life.

He was probably one of those UAL guys hired in the late 90s that actually thought he would have a chance at widebody captain there before he retired, but never bothered crunching the numbers on it!

CB,
I tend to agree with alot of your points. The thing that I don't understand is that what we were asking for from the company has been posted on the union web site for quite some time, but you haven't bothered to ***** about it until now. Where have you been for the past year? The TA represents basically, what we have asked for for the last year. The only real difference being that the company was able to put alot of it off for a year after signing. I just cannot understand someone who wants to sit back for 2.5 years doing nothing, and then start *****ing when they got what they asked for.

CB seems to be trying to make up for his perceived "lost wages" at UAL in one contract here at FDX. Lots of folks get here in their late 40's and live with it (me included). If we could do it all over again we'd either be lottery winners and have our own jennies to putz around in on weekends or be hired here at 23.

1998 - 1.6%
1999 - 2.2%
2000 - 3.4%
2001 - 2.8%
2002 - 1.6%
2003 - 2.3%
2004 - 2.7%
2005 - 3.4%
Only 3 years since that UAL contract you refer to have we had greater that 2.7% inflation. By your own math, we did better than a inflationary pay raise. The numbers are from the Fed Res Bank. You can look them up yourself if you'd like.

CB,
If you use 8 4 week months at 72hrs and 4 5 week months at 90hrs you get 936hrs. A 3rd year NB FO makes $100/hr. Using 7% (our OCT05 tabled position) times 2yr 5 months you get $15834. How are we only getting 55% of what we should in retro pay? You ask other to give proof. Prove your math. By the way, 7% over 2yr 5 month is 2.9%/yr. We also have 3 yr WB FO's and 5 yr NB Captains.
