I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be drinking that coffee if I thought of the engineer as a switch flipping thing that pours coffee.

Here's a newsflash for some....you shouldn't have to in the -11 either. Just fly the f'in airplane.

They had me doubting it, well, after reading the disclaimer, it still does.
Will all of these 757-200s be paid on the narrow body pay scale at Purple?

Yes. There is specific wording in the new TA setting possible 757 and 737 at Narrow Body Pay.

Why should this be a surprise. When We had a the "8" it was paid as a NB, even though the (future) A-310 would carry less. But than the "8" was a silver plane.

I was just reading on our union website a rumor that it is AA that will be selling the bulk of their 757's to FedEx. AA in this scenario would be picking up a bunch of A-319/20/21's from Airbus quickly and on the cheap to cover the loss of AC. FedEx would supposedly also pay AA to maintain the all the 75's.

Anybody at Purple heard any recent rumors about this?

Don't know about maintaining them but I hear the AA just set up a P to F mod facility at DFW.

Aviation Week says AA is setting up a 757P-757F mod operation at AFW. The article was before the FedEx 757 announcement. It didn't say whose airplane were being modified or who the recipient would be.
