UPS Called Today!

Yeah, but you were a civilian!!! (just kidding) The overwater quals and heavy experience are overrated in my opinion. Of course that's all I have ever done until the 727. I think that they are just looking to stack the deck as much as possible. I can't imagine why a guy from the regionals could not be trained as easily as a guy with heavy experience from the USAF.

UPS called today for a class! You DO NOT have to do a medical any more, just a drug test. They said I will be in the NOV. 16th class. If that fills up I will be in the DEC. 14th class. Of course this is contingent on passing the drug test and background checks. I do not know how big these classes are. I swam in the pool for 2 1/2 months.

One new hire class that I talked to told me they were allowed to trade their assignments with each other, i.e. guy who lived in Florida traded his 757 ONT assignment with a fellow on the West coast who had been assigned 757 MIA. Other classes have been able to choose bases based on seniority within the class (birth date).
