Unfortunately, that is totally false. What you get is what you get, unless the company changes their mind. This applies to crewmembers in the same class, because we had a couple that wanted to switch and weren't allowed. Can't switch equipment until after your first year either, unless it's an upgrade.

A newhire friend of mine said that as a newhire HR mentioned putting in an internal rec is a bad thing. HR said he should wait until they are complete with training prior to logging in to rec a friend. Anybody know if this is accurate?

A friend of mine was in new hire class and when the HR person came in to say hi, she was overwhelmed with recomendations. She took them, but he said that she was not too happy about it

Sorry you got the "Dear John" letter. Although there is nothing I can really say the will ease the disappointment, keep plugging away. Hopefully, you will get the breakthrough you've worked hard for.

Blue skies.

Sounds familiar TopDog (congrats)...

10,000+ hours (4 types)
17 years with airlines ... 10 years regionals, 7 years minor majors (light twin Boeings)
4 year degree
Only ONE internal rec ...

And to the others waiting 5-7 years for an interview ... I know the feeling !!
