Incorrect! As soon as it assigns ONE of your requests, it is done with you. In your example, if someone senior to you gets your first request, the system will look at your second. If you can get it, the system is done with you, even though you may have been able to hold your request 3 as well. I did the very same thing about 8 months ago. I had about 50 hrs CIC. I put down 5 or 6 requests
#1 trip A/date........(7hrs)
#2 trip B/date........(9hrs)
#3 trip C/date........(20hrs)
#4 trip D/date........(6hrs)
#5 trip E/date.........(9hrs)
I got my first choice worth 7 hrs and that was it.

As others have said, the system will keep going through each of your "Bids" until it has reached the number of hours you have indicated you want to make up. That number can be anything from "0" to a maximum of conflicted hours + 6. It will use as many "Bids" as necessary to accomplish that.
It's all done by seniority. It fills the most senior guys line completely, and then moves on to the next most senior, etc.
