Gunter..lighten up Francis.

1. Is that why TM, former vice chair got the extra pay for a while, when he wasn't supposed too, after leaving the job...heard he was going to pay it back after a stink was raised.

2. How about a "volunteer" based in ANC, lives on the east coast...look at his schedule...have him supply a calender that matches up with 15 days of work on the road

3. SS's election team, for national office...how much FPL did we use for volunteers that were paid to do that? And oh yeah, we were in negotiations...and luckily for ALPA, he lost...unlucky for fedex MEC.

Several other much nastier examples, but you get my drift...it needs to be better.

MA was the former oversight guy, honest as the day is long...ask his opinion if you dare.

But, if you think my post was BS - Why aren't calendars required for days worked...because it would show a lot of wasted money...calendars are only required for the officers...and they now include work from home...more than before...not the intent to pay extra money for a guy to work from home. It was to be in the office more...

So much for transparency.

Are these things rumors or facts? Somewhere in the middle is the truth.

I would ask for perspective from a former MEC member who occasionally is on the boards, but he might not want to comment as this was some sticky stuff...

But lets lighten this up some. Again I ask...out here in HK we are hearing of a tail hook type of scandal going on in the hollowed halls of those that lead us...and I ain't talking ALPo...in the rarified air of the just culture types.

I would be for a complete open, viewable by all members, list of all pay only and all trip removals each month. Who's money is it after all? ALPA seems to be as bad as Washington. And who is getting to work from home and when.

the ALPA books are wide open, call the office and schedule a time to view whatever you want. I recommend asking to have one the oversight guys meet you and explain how they audit each and every trip payment. The government regulations on Union oversight and reporting is almost second to none, probably deserved over the years based on many less than accurate Union practices...(not talking about FPA or FDX ALPA)

Step right in, anytime. However to put stuff out there as "viewable" that could cause much consternation without some serious policy change by the MEC to come up with a standardized calendar reporting system etc. Every Union worker I have ever known work and dedicate far more time vs. what they get paid for.

I don't care about any "drifts" or, better worded, "insinuation". DM and WR did basically a non-existent changeover their last month then asked for an extra month of flight pay loss for their "services". It was denied. You don't hear of anyone complaining about their pouting and unethical behavior now....

I'm all for investigating any and all wrong doings and having it dealt with. That is the job of the MEC. Are you expressing doubt in your MEC?

You sound like Harry Reid asking Mitt Romney to prove he didn't cheat on taxes. He won't so he must have, right? You are a real political operative.

Good job ignoring the poor performance of your "boys" from years past. I can assure you I remember it.

Insults...attack the attacker, your the political operative...especially with the number and type of posts you have.

Not political, I want transparency, honesty, communication. Your blaming everything including global warming on the previous guys, and me to Harry Ried...LOL, wow

And it was our boys, you had a block rep you voted for also. So did I. Just like now. (And we have gone through a few out here recently.)

Yes, most of our volunteers are great hard working guys, that never are rewarded for their unselfish work. And then there are others with different motivations...a few granted...but they are there.

Yes. I have a lot of doubt in the MEC.

And I did address what I liked and didn't like with the past group.

Sounds like your one of the guys that loves the new regime, great...but there is a significant group of us out here that doesn't.

But this all will be self correcting and transparent when we see what is really going on with negotiations...I hope for your sake and mine, your faith in this group is correct and we don't go significantly backwards, concessionary, in our next contract. I don't have that faith.

When you come out guns a blazin' you have to expect return fire.

Not sure why you put people into a love or hate camp. It's possible some aren't in either. I apply the same standards to all who lead.

Hope negotiations go well too. At least we have a common goal.

Everything you have posted recently sounds like sour grapes because you are no longer "getting" that Nat'l trip removal...........

Plead the "we the down trodden here in HKG card" (and you are, I believe that), but then take 3 swipes at the current ALPA leadership (the ones you worked for). Sour Grapes, and hypocrisy.

As one of the angry 12 men, your confusing me with someone else I think...but nice try...keep guessing. I lurked for years and have gotten disgusted by what is going on...forgive me for commenting

But then again, your part of the guys who think that they are the only ones allows to have opinions.
