UPS will figure out a way to exercise control without "operational" control ... money talks
Yup, the same FAA that forced UPS to stop contracting in 1988.
UPS already contracts. Just look any main gateway and you will see. Look at Europe, Asia and Africa. Browntails may not grow, but I am not worried about the airline going back to contrators. Obviously you see different.

If they do decide to contract out more of their lift, be very afraid. As a former feeder pilot for UPS I can only go on how unpleasant, adversarial and vindictive in nature it was. Out stations seem to be the worst.

I wouldn't say that I am worried about going back to contractors. What I do see differently is your contention that the FAA would prohibit UPS from returning to contractors ... on that we disagree.

UPS has other reasons to keep the air fleet in-house ... control.

Why don't you quit and go to work for a better company instead of whining like a little girl on the internets?

There's the one Al Gore invented, and then there's the one everybody else uses.

Int'l override pay/hr:
Capt/IRO/FO:
$6.50/$4.50/$4.50

This needs to be fixed in the next contract. Way too low for international ops and no way should Captains get a higher rate. Most I have flown with are cheap Fer's that can't even buy a beer. Seriously only the ANC guys are worth flying with. Most SDF captains just suck when it comes to buying a round.

I will respectfully disagree with this comment. I have been SDF based on the MD for almost 4 yrs, and we have some extremely generous captains based here. Not that I expect it, but many have ponied up and taken care of me and/or crew. There will always be those that don't - no big deal. I can take care of myself.
