When you work at a company that:
- gives you fake weather to get you to depart to your destination (magically bringing it from cat III to above cat I)
- tries to fire you for going to your alternate because your destination was well below mins.
- intimidates the mechanics into hiding/not disclosing grounding items to the flight crew
- threatens to fire you if you dont withdraw a grievance
- the CP or DO convince you that you're legal to depart under a given MEL, etc.. and once the cargo is on its way, proceed to throw the crew under the bus by self disclosing to the FAA (and not even telling you to boot).
- or things similar....
THEN you know you're working for a contender for the worst cargo airline to fly for. All while making lower than sub-standard wages.

I never claimed they were exempt, but unlike the majority of the participants of this thread I'm trying to stay on topic which is:

I'm sure if there was a thread on the worst pax carriers, there would be carriers that behave like this to be on the list. There would also probably be some guys from a "good" pax carrier trying to make this list talking about how bad they have it, ignoring the carriers with the worst behavior like this.

Doesn't make us a contender for the "worst" airline though, I agree with you. Just a toxic work environment with great pay thanks to our union and a company with deep pockets.

Well, I've personally had 3 of the items you mentioned happen to me, and a lot more of the "similar", and yes, that's at UPS... FWIW

Fortunately I GTFO of there as soon as I could. It was never soon enough tho, it was so bad I seriously considered taking a ditch digger job just to get out of that environment.
I feel fortunate to have escaped with my certificates and I hope others in similar conditions escape with theirs.
I was reminded of another pleasant trait - falsifying your PRIA paperwork to try to scuttle your next job.

Its unfortunate that strong arming still exists, even with so-called protection from one's union, which appears to be non-apparent in situations outlined above.
My current company is allowed to carry D/G on passenger flights. There are more times than none where I will not accept goods if if appears they've not been handled properly, or an incorrect NOTOC is presented to me. That's why I carry a camera in my flight bag for such occasions, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. It's extra work for me, however, the blame was shifted to the cargo department of the carrier I fly for.
To mitigate any maligning by potential former employers for PRIA purposes and potential law suits, I know some chaps who photgraph their PC and Check Ride forms upon completion.
What a shame the lengths that one has to go to in order to protect their good standing with the FAA and for future employment.
