FedEx iPads

Playing with the Jepp viewer and noticed that there is a "wx" button along the side. Pushed it and the latest metar (4 mins old) and the taf appeared in a small window. Raw or decoded. And it's handy to be able to magnify and move the plate around with the usual gestures. Much better than the efb at this time. Not sure how it could be attached to something in cockpit for easy, hands free viewing.

I heard that the next 7 year's of GWOE training is about this very topic. Supposedly, to keep everyone in the loop and increase the overall crew concept, it is going to be held in a comfortable viewing position by the PM.

I just made my iPad Retina a hand me down to a family member and got an iPad mini.
Now the best of both worlds awaits.
Full sized iPad from the company, and a personal mini.

Yep. Seems to be the best solution to me as well.

Based on a previous post that stated ATT as the service provider I would have to say NO, it can't be made into a hotspot. But I've been wrong before
