You are also eligible for 401k and stock match from the company which is nice. It was better than 3k/mo plus semester raises.... Great deal for a year.

You will take systems training for the fleet to which you are assigned.

Yes sim time is part of the job. You take customers in the simulators and will likely fly well over 150 hours in the level D sims.

Great position and do a good job for a bright future with them.

I wouldnt trade that year for anything....Looking forward to getting back and flying for them.

UPS is actively seeking a Flight Training Co-op. I have no idea why they are looking for somebody now, but its a GREAT opportunity.

Default Internship....

What are the requirements to be eligible for the internship? What is the length and how does one apply for the program?

Yeah, I called about the position and they said I was eligible as a UPS driver however, I would have to give up all my health benifits, educational benifits and half my wages for a year! I said " you're crazy"!

Any word on what happens once the internship is complete? Does anyone stay on in flight ops and go fly after some more time there? Others leave to build time and get hired with lower mins? If so, how low? Good info guys, thanks.

The FTC Co-op is a contract position. Once the contract is up, you're done - out of the position so somebody else can get that experience. There are no lower minimums or guaranteed interview for former Co-ops but the networking you do while working there (assuming you did a good job!) should be more than enough to help you once you meet publish minimums.

Nobody gets flight qualified unless they are hired specifically as a pilot.

Yeah, just don't do anything stupid like impersonating a MGT pilot and try to stir the pot during contentious contract negotiations. Not that the IPA would take notice or anthing and remember who you are.

I don't know why you are on this guys back. He did nothing of the sort. And I think I remember you calling him on it during negotiations. I don't know the guy, but I believe you are clearly mistaken.
