Sirs:
We're 4 years into negotiations. No matter what you think, the two FDA LOA CBAs were just that - an update and a giveaway that allowed the Company to open two FDAs with a meager 3% pay raise and NO other benefits. NONE. NADA. ZIP SQUAT! Out of those two LOAs we got 4.A.2.b., an excess bid, and a $70,000,000 bonus for the folks on Hacks Cross. We’re negotiating away sick and jury duty benefits as we speak, and accepted fares continue to be a problem. In two years, there hasn’t been a single month that FXCal or the other bidding/open-time scheduling programs haven’t been victimized by Company IT changes.
When a crew member says ALPA, the MEC, my REP, my P2P friend hasn't said anything, you’ve had your head in the sand and don't give 2 cents about a new CBA. We are ALL college educated. Most are type 'A' decision makers and thinkers. We're at FedEx because we know how to get the job done.
It's time for us to decide NOW, right NOW, if we want an industry leading contract. If you do, YOU need to make the decision to get involved and make it happen. Brief your spouse. Let them know what a red letter is. Tell them EXACTLY what that means. FWS will threaten to move the freight 'with or without' us. Read the letter. Save the letter. Xerox a copy and put it in your pocket so the next time you're feeling all peachy and good about 4 years of costly negotiations, you can take out his little 'gram' and re-focus.
The minions on Democrat will need to come up with enough crew members to operate 120 MD-11/10 aircraft. They’ll need to train a bunch of -777, 757, and Airbi (A-300/310) crew members. THEY DON'T EXIST! They'll need to be trained, typed and put on our certificate, then checked to determine whether or not they can move sensitive freight. They’ll need passports, visas, and familiarity with our system that won’t exist without us. When the 'Absolutely Positively' fails for the first time because of a labor dispute, that moniker is gone forever. The ‘World on Time’ will be a laugh on Wall Street and a fire storm in the board room.
Right now the Company recognizes we’re in an us vs. us mode. When they figure out we’ve become united and it's us vs. THEM, progress at the table will be made. When a crew member tells you OUR ALPA hasn’t told them to stop flying disputed pairings, DRF, VLT, M/U or sell back their vacation, you’ve met a MORON!!! They won’t tell us. They CAN’T tell us. As college educated professional pilots, it’s up to us to figure a few things out on our own. It’s time to bring these negotiations to closure in OUR favor. NOW! IMHO of course.
Very Respectfully,
Nakazawa

Just had two guys on another crew say that exact thing to us on a layover. Couldn't believe my ears. I think we made ourselves clear to them that they were incorrect in their thinking . . .
