I'm with cgflier. I gave up on poorly defined buzzword phrases when "hope and change" became popular.

+1.........

The challenge is getting the vast majority to do what packagecheck said.

Extra item for the list:

We have had way to many FOQA events, don't risk your ticket. Get stable early! Might I suggest by the FAF

On a similar and related subject ...

I recently had a member of Management ask me about an event that I had ONLY REPORTED IN MY ASAP REPORT!

Hmmm ... I might be able to argue that he was using it for disciplinary purposes and I thought those were supposed to be confidential? (It was used in context with whether I would keep my job!*? I'll have to call the ALPA ASAP folks and ask about that?)

THIS IS A VERY BIG DEAL!!! WE SHOULD BE VERY CONCERNED!!! I intend to advise ALPA Legal this evening ...

If rumors are true, this is NOT the first time someone in FDX Management had "de-identified" info from ASAP reports and used it in a disciplinary "way" ....

It's very obvious now is the time to do your part. Our negotiating committee has explained quite clearly the company has no interest in bringing a contract anytime soon. If you your satisfied with the status quo, 39 months of talk, then bury your head in the sand while you debate if the union is really asking for our help. We will only get a contract when we decide it's time. It's time.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't ALPA have the keys to the "de-identification" process? And then it goes onto wherever it goes? Just wondering.

ASAP reports are not DE-identified, rather they are evaluated and accepted or rejected by the Event Review Committee. If accepted they are closed out with a range of actions from nothing to a corrective action (FAA letter, training event etc.). If rejected the report goes away and nothing in that report can be used against you in a discipline case. MGT has to conduct its own investigation if the event happens to be a non sole source event and they have knowledge of the issue involved.

There may be issues with leaky valves within the process and I hear there has been issue(s) with the content of some reports being relayed to MGT which has resulted in some from of "retaliation", not necessarily in the form of a discipline case but has negatively affected the pilot involved nonetheless.

To think that an ASAP is a de-indentified process is incorrect, still a great program but we need better control at the ERC level, which I hope is being corrected.

Yeah, right! Just like caving on jury duty? But I'm sure those lanyards will bring the company to the negotiating table.

Well,
Today, in the 11, 10 trips in open time for tomorrow with 7 on reserve. Haven't seen that in a long while. I see the glass half full and that the crew force is stepping up.
