I know some guys who will really appreciate those maternity clothes, giving a little extra room in the stomach area.

This has to be a world record or something! 25 previous posts in this thread and not one pilot offering his leather jacket for sale at a discount. Simply amazing.:D

FOM 2.55: "The uniform will be worn from trip check-in to trip completion, regardless of duties. The uniform will be worn in its entirety whenever in the public eye or Company areas, except for the member lounges or aircraft."
Wear whatever you like until check in. Entering the AOC or leaving the AOC you can wear your leather jacket (or any other combination) that you see fit. At the aircraft - wear what you like. The FOM doesn't cover the layover hotels or rest times very well. By the letter of the law - sounds like we should be in uniform at, on, and in your hotel room since you are still on a trip and in the public eye. |
Does the FOM say anything about a penalty for not wearing the right uniform? I'd read it myself, but I haven't downloaded the weekly update yet.

Tony, your post is less than 2 pages. I sense you are losing your passion. And I think I figured out what low rise pants are. I'm all in on that change... The lo rise pant option is for the ladies -- you wouldn't get that from just reading this thread, but it's stated in the FCIF.

So your suggestion is we block all the roads into Herndon yelling no jackets no peace?

By your own statement, if we want a particular uniform item it must be in the CBA or else management can drop it by fiat. FOCUS. I'm sure Rock was just joking ... right? As for the ALPA Uniform Committee approving or even being involved in the changes ... it wouldn't be the first time they've claimed collaboration that did not occur. I'm just surprised that McDonald went after the leather jacket before the parka. I guess the parka was Orlando's pet peeve. . |

Since they didn't get off their butts to inform us of this until now, I wonder if they are going to reimburse people who have recently ordered leather jackets. . |
