Oh, and I'm selling my leather jacket, size 42, good condition, if anyone needs one.

"When we get a new leader"? We have an old leader? I hadn't noticed. I keep reading mindless decrees from management, but haven't seen any leadership in a L O N G time.

What's the problem anyway? Are people wearing white mesh shirts and black leather chaps to work?

A white shirt

Dark blue pants

Black shoes

How difficult is this ??

Some white shirts are whiter than others.

Some dark blue pants will fade quicker than others.

We will never look identical, so why do they get wrapped around the axle about it??

Oh boy. I know you've been gone too long. You'll notice that many of our friends are sartorially challenged. I know, you'd think it would be easy. But when you see the amalgamation of "uniforms", you'll understand the need for clarification.

Personally, I like the track suit option with chains. :D

Paris AOC is a nightly fashion show of uniforms...most of them from Bass Pros Shops or REI.

People who don't have the uniform bank left to fully pay for a expensive leather jacket. People who need a couple of costly items in the same year. I'm sure people would be happy to give them the jacket back for the uniform funds they spent on them, to buy something else they would have liked.

I am sure the IRS would be surprised that some of us max out uniform expenses at less than $150 per year.

So do the 'professionals' that run this particular company wear costumes to work?

Of course not, that would be absurd.

So why do the aircraft operators wear costumes? The whole concept is silly. Maybe pilots should wear the same 'uniform' as the couriers (you know the folks with actual customer contact); shorts, monogrammed golf shirt, and a ball cap.
