I appreciate the optimism But who wins dancing with the stars will have just as much influence on the "culture" at FDX as the selection of a new CP. The lawyers and the accountants make all of the decisions, who passes that on to is meaningless.

As long as PC has any involvement ... it's doubtful.

Probably the most prescient observation I've seen on here in awhile. Mother Teresa would be "difficult" under his tutelage.

Can't be any worse than Lunch Money though.

Lets see, the SCP gets 98 credit hrs a month to pass along emails dictated to him by management? This is a position of no power. I haven't seen anyone in the past in this position do anything other than move further in management. JP's parting missive is a pretty good indication of where these guy's stand. Its just a stepping stone position, stepping on our backs, for the people who take the SCP job to improve their life, not ours.

I'm not sure about he pay part being 98hrs a month but I do know they get more pay than the line guy. They also have the ability to bump and fly what they want totally out of what their seniority could hold.

Default Good Guy

RF is a good guy and I'm pleasantly surprised he's the new SCP. This is a positive and I wish him luck. He is unflappable, listens to pro's and con's and not personality driven. He was walking about during the last two weeks during the all night delays and was taking input and listening. Yes, it's a management position but this is a positive trend. Again, good luck RF.

Coincidence as we enter the most contentious time of the process?

Would that be the same RF who presided over a disciplinary termination which involved a monetarily minor abuse of shipping account privileges after RF himself allegedly used his privileges to send wrestling mats to his son's school in the Philippines?

That sounds about right. He's reportedly one of the managers currently under investigation by civil authorities.

That's par for the course, at least under PC. They reward people like that. Most insiders know he was the expected choice. We've got work to do to fix our company. Stay focused and fly the contract!

All management at FDX are politicians and yes-men. Prove me wrong ... waiting ...

Wolves in sheep's clothing. Anyone who actually tried to be pro-pilot has been dismissed or quit in disgust -- better known as a decision to return to the line.

It's all internal nonsense, creating mistrust and disdain among the crew force which ultimately becomes counter-productive.

This crew force needs to FINALLY and COMPLETELY realize the significant leverage we have in this process. Intimidation only works until you've had enough. When the bully gets punched in the mouth (figuratively of course) then things change.

The best course is to do your job as a pro and stay the course. BS doesn't usually travel.
