ATI/ABX new hire info?
#132
They had a press release about 7 aircraft being split between the two airlines. I shared a van with a 13yr FO at ATI a couple months ago.
Before they went into hard time I think they were 8-10yrs like everyone else

Good question. Both airlines are very thin on pilots. The "on paper" plan is 15 additional aircraft over 15 months split between the properties. ABX has 48 of its 180ish pilots 58 years old or greater. We expect a lot of movement over next 5 years. The retirements will probably speed up once the old guys fly with new hires vs an 18 year FO. I'm not sure of retirements at ATI.

1,000 hours multi-engine
500 hours turbine
First Class Medical
Legally authorized to work in the United States and Canada
Current passport with 3 years validity remaining and no restrictions on international travel
FCC radio/telephone permit
College degree preferred
I guess having a DWI will prevent employment at ABX due to Canada restrictions?

Clean record, no skeletons, lots of heavy international time.
Not a peep.

Another said the FE's were coming back after getting ATP certs.
I'm not being negative to your app but if those are your quals depending on your age you may be considered a short timer. Your young, clean and would jump at higher pay and better life.
If I was hiring there I'd look for good flying record with no violations and/or something that prohibit a major snagging you. Those are long term that once hired won't leave. Plus they won't rock the boat or strike with no where to go.
Sorry that's the viewpoints from HR and management...
