That's no joke
Sitting there eating breakfast at the holiday inn in KILN I sat there and watched 3 ABX furloughed crewmembers eat at one table while right next to them were guys going on an abx interview. The company dropped them and went out and hired off the street less than a month later. What a kick in the D""K.. Can't believe the union wouldn't fight it or massive sick calls ......or something
You're aware the 3 we recalled?
Yeah down to B.L. (Initials since names are not allowed)
That's he right thing to do. Most the guys on the list have moved on. You could probably offer a recall and still have to hire in the end. It's just sad to see someone who has given the company almost half their useful career be tossed aside. Not to mention just about all that I know have families. Some have come back to ATI hopefully it works out for them and they make the left seat quick.
Obviously left seat ATI doesn't match right seat ABX but it's something.

Yeah, I agree with you. On one hand it is disappointing to see fellow brothers left behind but i mitigate that thought with the idea of who would really come back, i feel that 90% are making noise just to make noise. Im glad we are brining new faces to ABX and I'm very excited for the future at ABX.Originally Posted by CTRCommander

I wasn't left behind. I missed one chance to go back to ABX when I was locked-in at ATI then had two more chances to go back, last year and earlier this year, before my seniority number expired. I'm happy where I am.

You're right, many have moved on, but there are several who would indeed have gone back. These are guys who put in the years, proved they could do it the ABX way and likely would have finished there careers at ABX. All tossed out with the help of the Union, just so the company could try to save a few dollars on unknown new hires. I even heard the CP had called some to let them know they could submit a resume! I really hope that one is not true!Originally Posted by lineflyer4life

Care to expand on how that could happen?Originally Posted by WTFover

Has anyone received a rejection letter? I assume they aren't sending rejection letters after the interview, or they haven't got around to it. I have a friend who interviewed on the 22nd, but was not given the urine screen after the sim. He hasn't heard the slightest. I however was given the urine screen, as was another guy who interviewed right in front of me. I have personally followed up with a thank you letter, and a email 5 days later. Nothing but crickets for all of us. Does anyone have any insight to the process, or logic? At the interview we were told that we would know something that following week.

Yeah that sucks. Although, a mass sick call is considered an illegal job action and isn't an option any more IIRC.Originally Posted by CTRCommander

Yeah, your absolutely correct.
Although the pilot group at ABX is legendary for sticking together in negotiations and literally going to guerrilla warfare if necessary.
