In a nutshell:

-Very understaffed
-Madly hiring to get ahead
-Schedules suck at the moment as a result
-Line bidding, a variety
-Rapidly growing fleet
-Good work rules
-Good training
-Lots of retirements on the horizon. Lots.

Thanks for the quick catch-up!

Quick question: are the lines all built with a mix of int'l/domestic? Or are there pure int'l and pure domestic lines? Which goes senior/junior, if they are split, that is?

Most are a mix. I haven't been around long enough to tell you who picks up what. There are some less desirable lines with SA trips though....but some guys pick those up because they live in/near the overnight city. So it's hard to say.

I am tentatively in the 1 Dec class. I live in Columbus and will be driving to/from class everyday unless there is a flop house the other pilots are staying at. I will want to study with the class in the evening anyways.

I was told 1 Dec - 22 Dec, back 2 Jan for sims.

Anyone know how the sim schedule plays out? How many weeks, number of days off? Thanks

Couldn't edit my post above, so here's another question:

Would it be better to fly (buying my ticket, non-CASS/121) into CVG or DAY? Ticket prices are about the same, and I'll be renting a car. Will be making the flight home in the afternoon/evening, so looking to take traffic into consideration.
