The AZ contract is with ATSG, our parent company. It is for 20 aircraft from CAM, the leasing arm of ATSG. The flying is slit up between ATI and ABX, both companies under the ATSG umbrella. The AZ flying break down:
(the credit for this break down goes to wjcandee from another board)
ATI:
ABE-ILN-ABE 3001/2
SCK-ILN-SCK 3004/3
PHX-ILN-PHX 3006/5
DFW-ILN-DFW 3008/7
SEA-ILN-SEA (763) 3018/15
ABE-RFD-ONT-ABE (763) 3017/19/22
ILN-DFW-SCK-RFD-ILN 3025/27/28/30
ONT-ILN-ONT 3032/29
ATI now has nine tails (six 767-200 and three 767-300) flying for AZ. Two more 767-300 are coming to ATI by the end of the 1'st Q of 2017.
There are other tails out there that CAM has (and a rumor that ATSG/CAM has bought some more -300's) but no one knows at the moment what the disposition for them is.
Some Peeps that had been hired last April or May, might have a shot at upgrade with the next proffer coming this March or April. It all depends on who bypass and who meets the time qualifications for upgrade as per our GOM.
We have started classes again. Latest class of 12 started Jan 3'rd and the plan is for a class of 12 every three weeks with total of 70-75 for 2017. At the moment, New hires start at 2'nd year pay and are paid at that rate from day one of class. This equates to $55,408/yr. Again, with a new contract on the horizon, these rates will change for the better. We are a "True" home based airline. Meaning Company pays for all your travel and accommodations once you leave your house. This includes your initial training. Class is held in Wilmington OH and SIM work is done either in DFW or PHX at the AA school houses.
I hope this helps,
FAJ

1) Air Mobility Command, AMC. We provide lift to the military with our 757Combi in the Pacific and Atlantic theaters. To my knowledge, ATI is the only US Flag carrier offering 757Combi service and the only one for AMC. This contract is by far our most lucrative and longest running one.
2) DHL. We provide 757F lift for DHL US with four tails out of CVG
3) Amazon. At the moment we have 9 tails with two on the way.
?) In the past, ATI was very active in the Adhoc charter world. Our Op Specs are very unique which enables us to carry some very "unique" stuff. But with the ramp up for AZ, we've had slow this aspect of our business down. Mgt has said to expect us to be active in this arena 2018.
As for your first question, the carriers mentioned by Woog are all IBT 1224 carriers. ATI is ALPA. I'll just leave it at that.
Hope this helps,
FAJ

Whoa, FAJ you put some time in that post... I learned something even
For the newbs looking to come here it's a gamble. This side of the industry has always been more volatile than the pax side. Just look at the guys in this thread. Air Borne, Emery, Astar these were strong companies of the day and hard jobs to get. Now everyone is at ATI. It's unusual for a pilot on this side of the career to go to retirement under one set of wings while typical at Delta
Only difference now is that online retailers are replacing brick and mortar. Never has the industry seen such a change and we can all get on here and make assumptions, in the end we're guessing nothing more just guessing.
Also, the charters FAJ speaks of are usually pretty fun with destinations 99% of the pilots on here will never see. (Some probably wouldn't want to see either) They do make for some good times though. They also take a truly F'd up type of crew with unique perspectives to deal with sometimes. You could for example find yourself with a load of unique things in the middle of Niger negotiating with skinnies on why it's a better idea to let you have the plane back. Also, you could be driving through a hostile section of town while the locals are burning tires and shouting anti American slangs. Personally I find exploring these areas a way to connect with the locals. HOWEVER, some people on this board will threaten you with bodily harm while doing so and literally start freaking on you. Even while in a Toyota with carpet on dash too, totally blended in. Not to mention my expert middle eastern gestures and driving skills.
I guess with this all being for Amazon unique could mean the lithium powered led lighted strap ons being shipped to Brazil.

313 broke again, trailing edge flap disagree.... 6-7 write up of the same problem in a few weeks...
Gonna be signed off again in a few hours. We are re writing the procedures and will be using alt flap extension as normal flap extension. The flap handle is going to be renamed "First Officer Seat Forward Assist" handle
WELCOME ABOARD!

Embellishing on that are we. There is absolutely no airline that will keep signing off on a flight control. Thats asking for a federal enema no one is that blatantly careless.
ATI does some far reaching acts but thats hard to believe.

On the 13th, it went out of service for 24 hours at ABE, after reporting a flap malfunction arriving, which the crew addressed and then landed. ATI subbed 714 (a smaller aircraft, 767-200) to pick up 313's route. After 24 hours at ABE and presumably fixed, 313 was back in the air and covering its regular route (SCK-ABE-CLT-SCK) on the 14th.
On the 15th, it flew SCK-ABE, arriving the 16th, and again went tech there. It stayed on the ground for 24 hours while a smaller 767-200 again covered its route.
On the 17th, again "fixed", it started its route and flew to CLT. Where it went tech again. Again, a 767-200 came in and covered the rest of its route. After a few hours on the ground at CLT, 313 was ferried to ILN.
After 15 hours at ILN, on the morning of the 18th, 313 ferried to ABE to resume its normal route. It flew ABE-CLT and then CLT-SCK, where it again apparently had issues. That's about the time that CTRCommander made his post.
On the night of the 18th/morning of the 19th, it was decided to swap 313az with ATI's SCK-ILN flight, and put 762cx on the route normally covered by 313. So on the morning of the 19th, 313 flew to ILN, where it has been since then. Apparently, it is now out of service until what ails it is fixed.
Last night, 313 made an approximately 5-hour planned circuit over the midwest and southeast, ILN-ILN, climbing to FL390 and staying there for the whole cruise portion of the flight. An identical flight is planned for this evening.
