Look up Whipsaw. Thats all you need to really know.
Not sure it still applies but there is no trip trading, dropping of trips, your schedule is your schedule and thats it.
Used to be 12 hours of R1 with you guessed it, 12 hours of R1 12 hours later, rinse and repeat. Used to be 17 days no matter what, now maybe 16 with the new contract (IDK). Unless you live within 10 minutes of the DHL ramp at CVG just move on to a real job

You're right about the whipsaw, but you're wrong about everything else. We have trip trades... both with other pilots and from whatever is in open time. We have the ability to drop trips using the trip bank system. I dunno where you got your info, this stuff all existed in the old contract also. R1s are not 12 hours anymore, I'll let someone else chime in on exactly how long they are because I dont do them but they aren't 12 hours. The new contract is 14 days off per month, so some months are 16 on and some are 17 on (30 day months vs 31 day months). There are better jobs and there are worse jobs out there. I've been here almost 5 years and I enjoy it for what it is.
(I wouldn't turn down an offer to look over a bid packet)

There are both. There are more split lines than single block off right now. The contract requires 50% or greater of the lines to have a single block of days off. This number can be adjusted with mutual agreement of the parties. The Union sends out occasional surveys to gauge preference and right now the number stands at 36% single block off.

Hey folks,
Wasup? From what I've beeb reading ABX wasn't really the place to work for. But I wonder now with the new CBA and in 2021, how are thing now compared to before the cba? How's the work life, relationship between admin and pilots? How are the lines now and the bases?
If you could give me a heads-up, I'm trying to see if ABX will work well for me.
Thanks in advance
