I'm curious but you guys probably know. For some reason I thought an RJ was too big for 135 ops and had to be flown under 121. Or something like that? Can't remember exactly.

All the points mentioned previously are correct.

Just adding a few long winded thoughts:
The pay is somewhat competative. But too a degree. Contour does salary, regional does hourly. If you look at the macon side and worked an 8/6 schedule doing two round trips to BWI youre looking at 6-8 hrs of flight time per day. At 16 days a month at a regional starting pay, say PSA at 39.74/hr, youre making 53k and some change if you average 7 hrs a day. Thats nearly 15k more than the contour salary. At PIC pay youre making over 85k. Thats at a standard charter company schedule. Now not all the routes fly that much so its not fair to place it across the board but you can potentially loose money. On the flip side if youre interested in less flying for more cash Contour could be the better option.

My other point to bring to the table is Contour is part 135. In this hiring day in age this is probably more and more irrelevant but I’ve seen a lot more guys with 121 regional time go on to larger carriers than I have 135 guys. Case in point all the guys flying PIC in Beech 1900’s and Brasilia’s at Ameriflight. Maybe theyre able to get their foot in the door but I havnt heard much about it. The only guys Ive seen go PIC to legacy via 135 had prior military time. Im sure theyre some Challenger pilots or somebody somewhere that have though...

Just food for thought on those job hunting. Its not a bad place to work. Just has its ups and downs depending what youre looking for. I personally enjoy living in base and starting and ending next to my house. So ill take a pay cut for that

30 seats is the limit for 135. Above that it has to be 121.

The OP should post this in the 135 forum, not charter. Pay is too low for the EMB-145.

Are you guys both 121 and 135? Charter is a 121 thing. If you mean private jet charters aka 135 that’s different.
