Btw I worked at contour/CFM for two years.
Also not seeing average line captains making 200k. Over 100k definitely.

Check airman I can definitely buy into, he said captains with little effort. I have no doubts that their are few CAs with those numbers but they are rare, especially without working their tails off.

Any check airman could quite easily make over 200k.

If I keep the rate of effort up as a 3 - 4 year CA at Envoy (not a check airman). I should make 145-150k working some extra (efficient juicy OT) but not burning my days off down to minimum days off.

If that’s the case good on you guys. Regional guys have been shafted for long time. I remember my first gig paid 24/hour with no bonuses.

Envoy has the garbage rates in the industry. So other regionals are doing even better than that.

The word “charter” has no bearing if it’s 121 or 135. It’s the equipment, seating capacity, and type of approved operation.
Both 135 and 121 certificate holders can do charters. Often called a supplemental operation in 121.
Lesson over. LOL

Why? Senior Eagle (now Envoy) guys we’re doing $150k-$160k long ago before the 200% stuff happened. Some carriers were even offering 300%.

$200k as a senior regional CA is definately doable. Too much work for my tastes. I have 8 flights all month and it’s a busy month....
