Could these be possible ETOPS testing flights? Like I said above, the ETOPS program was completed along side the 757 AFM. Would seem like a logical guess, yet YIP-SNN is on a non-ETOPS route of flight.

Thoughts, insights?

Probably non ETOPS but MNPS and Class 2 nav proving run. Little early for ETOPS, the main guy at FAA National in charge of signing ETOPs OPS specs will want to see more data tracking and maint. stuff before any ETOPs

Makes sense....... just wondering about the flights to SAV and back yesterday though. Those might be ETOPS related. IIRC, the plan was to jump right into ETOPS revenue flights once the 757 was added to OP SPECs.

Any information on what's competitive, or what they pay? The info on APC is pretty limited.

According to their website they are only looking for guys who are qualified on the 747 and 757.

The last I saw, they were paying 75k for a 744 check airman.
