Section 1, Page 2, Paragraph E (Scope) explains in language how this transition will be applied to the operation..From what I read, and understand...Short term advantage to those pilots already flying the operation, but in the long term they will be displaced out of the seat into what their seniority will hold...I'm sure I will be corrected by someone who wants to interpret it the way they want to see it...

I think you're exactly correct. It would also be "fair" that until the senior pilots are allowed to displace into IAD that they continue to draw their monthly minimum guarantee.

When AS got rid of the MD-80, there were guys who sat idle for MONTHS waiting for a 737 class date. The all got their monthly minimum guarantee along with all their other benefits (i.e. medical, etc.).

not how we interpret it but how the local and the company do - so far no info from either - you might be right though

An interesting article with ties to NAA:

I heard today that the judge bought off on Omni buying the IAD operation. Also I believe they have hired some NAA pilots as FOs.

This might be true for the FOs but they can't hire Street Captains at this point. We will see what the company does. I believe they had enough volunteers that junior Captains and FOs were turned away.
