I guess sometimes there is a little truth to rumors. There must be something to the story or why even write it. That is what these forums are for-INFORMATION.
I do have to say it appears that quite a lot of posts are being removed without a reason. So much for freedom of speech. While I would agree that cursing or threats or any intimidation should not be tolerated, one should have the freedom to debate or provide any information.
It's becoming like China where what is said or posted will be controlled. While I appreciate the information, healthy debate, it's starting to concern me the blatant control going on now. Is this not what happened at the other site that eventually died?

O yea I forgot to add, if you write a truthful post, they will delete it and try to get you banned from the site. look at Buddy Love and Oooo. Just a small observation. Elite management is in bed with the moderator.

"You want the Truth?? You can't handle the truth!!" The truth is, you can tell the truth here without personal attacks, profanity, or just being a Richard Cranium in general. That's part of the Terms Of Use (TOU).
Another TOU is to only use one screen-name, SAgetsBJtrips...I mean Buddy....I mean.....
This site was created by two airline Captains with the purpose of providing shared information so guys could get an airline job....or avoid bad places. The site is now owned by InternetBrands, but the founding principles have not changed.
The Mods here are all airline pilots (except one). We were just regular users of the site, and were invited to help. We are all volunteers.....no axe to grind, just trying to keep the discourse civil.
Winston Churchill is quoted as saying "Diplomacy is the art of telling someone to go to Hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip."
Practice diplomacy. Thanks.

Elite is negotiating with the city-owned airport (VRB Muni) in Vero Beach (FL) to build a maintenance hanger on the field. They are currently in Melbourne (41 mi north) sharing rented quarters. If they move maintenance, will they also move operations and back-offices?
Announcement of more flying & new destinations from Vero due on Friday.

Friday (12/9) Elite announced three new destinations out of Vero Beach, FL (VRB). It's the 1-year anniversary of Elite's service in Vero, which has grown significantly, and more than doubled the number of flights.
Asheville NC
Tallahassee FL (noted as 'limited schedule' which I'd bet is during the Florida legislative season)
Islip (Long Island) NY (noted as later in the spring)
Asheville and Tallahassee are new cities for Elite. Islip flights now go to Portland ME, Myrtle Beach SC and Melbourne FL.

If I had a dime every time ANOTHER airline tried Islip. The town killed off that place and it's almost a ghost town. The SWA terminal and the other side are empty. I do not think there is enough of a market there. National was coming too. Not picking on Elite but I give them 6 months to a year.

If you meant Elite as a going company, I think you're wrong. They seem to take a measured approach to expansion, and aren't afraid to pull the plug if things aren't working (eg DEN-BKG-IAH code-share with Great Lakes).
